The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum, the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices and the Lincoln Depot are just some of the Lincoln sites available for you to visit during your trip to Springfield.Another notable site is the Dana-Thomas House, which was constructed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wight. The house was constructed between 1902 and 1904 for patron Susan Lawrence Dana, and it was designed in the “Prairie School” architectural style.
Historic Route 66 also runs through Springfield, and it’s celebrated at the Route 66 Mother Road Festival – an annual festival showcasing hot-rod cars, vintage motorcycles, custom trucks, live music and more. The three day event takes place in September.
