Supporting Canadian charities since 2012

Choice Hotels Canada is proud of our long-standing tradition of giving back and investing in the communities and causes our people believe in. This passion is captured through the work of the Choice Hotels Canada Foundation, which provides direction and oversight to our philanthropic initiatives. We aspire to be an outstanding corporate citizen by helping to strengthen the communities in which we live, build and work across Canada and communities around the world. We will accomplish this by using our human, financial and in-kind resources, as well as the passion and expertise of our franchisees, employees and business partners.

Through the Choice Hotels Canada Foundation, we support initiatives and programs facilitated by reputable charitable organizations that focus on issues that are important to us and the franchise community. Traditionally, this has included education and community development, as it relates to children. Since 2025, we’ve expanded our scope to include support of veterans and their families.

 

Helping Children Sleep Easier

Sleeping Children Around the World

Since 1970, Sleeping Children Around the World has endeavored to provide every child the basic right to have a comfortable night’s sleep, aiming to improve the health and wellbeing of children in developing countries.

Through the distribution of bedkits (a mattress or mat, bedding, mosquito net, school supplies and clothing), SCAW has empowered 1.8 million children in 34 countries worldwide.

Ending Child Hunger

Kinvia

Kinvia* envisions a world where children thrive free from hunger and poverty. It supports children through long-term food security programs in Bolivia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Uganda and Indigenous communities in Canada.

Your donation will help supply families with much needed food and will help them grow their own at home and in community gardens. Ongoing skills development and education support work to set communities up for success and sustainability.

True Patriot Love

The True Patriot Love Foundation raises money to fund programs supporting the Canadian military, veterans and their families. It funds programs that fit into four focus areas: stronger military families, well-being and mental health, rehabilitation and recovery, and connection with communities.

Since 2009, True Patriot Love has committed over $41 million to fund research and support for over 1,025 community-based programs across Canada, impacting more than 40,000 lives.

From newborn care kits, maternal and newborn health programs, to women’s empowerment and youth leadership, AKFC works to tackle the root causes of poverty and inequality.
